Description of service
The service included a widening of the thick straps on the top of the shoe. The shoes were ready after about one week.
Review of Service
Overall, I thought the quality of the service was good. The company we went to had been in business for a while and had a good reputation. I was nervous that the stretching would damage the shoe in some way as the straps were leather, but the shoe was returned looking just as new as when I had brought it in. I have had this pair of shoes for about a year now and the straps that were stretched don't seem to be losing integrity any faster than the other parts of the shoe. The only thing I thought was a bit strange was that they did not measure my foot in anyway before they stretched the shoe, but it didn't come back too big, so it turned out alright.
Tips
I would definately look for a business that has a good reputation, as you don't want a new pair of shoes ruined and you don't want to pay for an old pair of shoes to look just as bad or worse as when you brought them in. Also, tell the person who will be performing the service exactly what you are wanting and ask them about any concerns you may have.
