Description of service

$88.25 for additional charges (e.g., HDTV/DVR, HBO, unlimited local calling)
$29.35 for taxes, fees, and other surcharges
Review of Service
High-speed is a misnomer for the internet service that comes with this bundle. I have tried watching TV shows online and it takes forever for the videos to buffer before they play. Also, there have been several instances when the DVR signal becomes so choppy and pixelized that the machine cannot record the show, which defeats the purpose of the DVR. The only service I do not have a problem with is the phone line, which is ironic since I find that I rarely use it.
Overall, I am not very happy with my experience with this particular cable provider. I will likely switch to a new one once my contract runs out.
Tips
Since New York City has several cable, phone, and internet service providers, make sure you canvass all of them to make sure you are getting the best deal.
Evaluate whether you really will need all three services. If not, you might be better off getting these services from separate providers at a lower price.
Make sure that promos offered by the cable/phone company have no hidden fees and charges that automatically kick in once the promo period ends.
