Before and after the trial he would always ask me what my concerns were or if I didn't understand something. He made the whole process easy for me.

Do your research. Some lawyers out there are just after your money. They do not care what happens to you in the outcome of the trial. Get referrals from other people or clients that have used thier services. Get someone who specializes in your area of need. Choose someone who advertises a lot. They have the reputation to be a leader within a community.
