I received transportation to the hospital, oxygen, an IV in my arm. $500.00 dollars is just for the ambulance ride you pay extra for oxygen and IV, which are additional fees.

You also, have trained paramedics or EMT's to help you until you get to the hospital.

The quality of service I received was exceptional. What was good about the ambulance service was that I was at the hospital within 10 minutes, and I am still alive. One thing that was not good about the service was that you have to pay $500.00 dollars for a 10-minute ride to a hospital. All in all the service was a good value for the price, you cannot put a price on a life, but if you could, $500.00 dollars is a drop in the bucket.

Unfortunately, if you are severely ill all of a sudden, you have limited chooses in getting to the hospital in time, and EMT's are trained for medical emergencies, so your best bet of getting the quickest help, would be to call an ambulance. One thing, I wish I had known before this expense was how expensive it is to get an ambulance ride to the hospital, and how to prevent asthma attacks.
