Description of service
My sister had just celebrated her twins' first birthday and was feeling really depressed about her lack of weight loss a year after their birth. She had signed up for a gym membership but, aside from using the treadmill and stationary bikes, she wasn't sure what else to do. I surprised her with a one time session with a personal trainer at her gym to help show her what exercises she should do, not just at the gym, but also at home.
Review of Service
The great part was that over half of the techniques the trainer taught her could be used during a regular (non-gym) workout. After completing her session with him, my sister said she felt like she finally had the key to getting her body back in shape and toned.
Tips
See if the gym has a personal trainer and find out how much they charge. In my case, I found a recent college graduate who had majored in physical education. Wanting to build up good, solid references, the young man was eager to work for a lower price than the trainers at the gym charged. I would advise if you go this route to contact local colleges that offer a physical education degree, and see if any of the recent graduates in that field are doing freelance work.
