Description of service
The personal training experience gave me one dedicated person to listen to my goals and problems and output for me a concept for a solution. The trainer had an office in a popular gym with several gadgets available for use on me, such as body fat measuring devices, stop watches, click-counters, etc. The fee was for the first visit, after which I would given an opportunity to purchase training sessions in bulk at a slightly discounted rate. The gym should also be mentioned, because often my trainer visits two clubs of the same franchise in the city. I signed up at the gym location with the least popular reputation due to my feeling awkward in wide open public spaces, often in compromised positions. The length of the session was 1 hour.
Review of Service
The service was not all that great. I paid my personal trainer to listen to my needs and motivate me as a true trainer does. Instead, my trainer stuck to his field manual. I desired to not do silly exercises such as jumping jacks and bend-and-thrusts, but those were the areas the trainer decided I needed extra pushing and motivation because I requested to not waste my gym dues on things I can do at home. I would have rather received the extra push while on the treadmill when I quit, while my trainer was off trying to sell another training package.
Tips
My advice to you if you are seeking a personal trainer is some good old fashioned in-gym stalking. Keep a close eye on the trainers and see which ones truly care about their clients. Also confirm they certification. Mine did not yet officially have certification because the franchise gave trainers six months to get certified, and if they weren't by the end, only then would they become ineligible and have their trainer status revoked.
