Description of service
The piercing itself was $45 and I gave $10 as a tip. The $45 included the cost of the initial jewelry and needles, etc. The initial jewelry was a capture bead ring, really basic looking and kinda bigger than I had imagined.
Review of Service
The guy was really good and made sure to tell me exactly what he was going to do before he did it. He asked me a lot of questions so we could figure out a good place to put it. He was really good at keeping me calm even though I knew it was going to hurt. He gave me instructions on how to take care of the fresh piercing and answered all the questions I had, no matter how trivial. It took about 15 minutes total.
Tips
I would definitely check up on the place before going to any piercing parlor - some aren't as clean and some piercers aren't as good. Look for places online where you can see albums with pictures of past piercings and some sites might even have reviews posted. Make sure the place is clean and the needles are new and all the other non-disposable items are sanitized. Ask people you see around who have the piercing you want if they got it locally and where, they might be able to give you good tips about where to go.
