Description of service
The $60 was including a $10 tip. The piercing itself was $50 and that fee covered the jewelry and the equipment, etc. It took about 15 minutes total. The guy started by setting up and opening up the clean needle and clamp. He asked me where I wanted it and marked it with a marker. He put the needle near the mark and told me to breathe in and out a few times and on the third breathe, the needle was clean through my lip. The starter jewelry was a plain ring with a capture bead.
Review of Service
The guy was really good, he had done my other piercings and was recommended by a lot of my friends. He was really gentle and made sure I was comfortable before starting to do anything. His work area was really clean and he also make sure to explain everything to me, which helped calm my nerves down a bit.
Tips
Check out the shop before you commit to getting a piercing there. Ask a bunch of questions about cleanliness and what their policies and procedures for sanitation are. Ask friends, health centers, etc. if they have a place that they prefer and are reputable. Check online for any pictures of previous work and reviews.
