Description of service

I had microdermabrasion on my face as part of a facial package that included a pumpkin enzyme peel, pore extraction, and finished with an application of a copper containing cream. The package was 150 plus a 20 tip for the aesthetician.

Review of Service

my skin was definitely smoother after the facial, and seemed more even toned. the microdermabrasion did not leave it red. The application of the mask afterward may have helped with that. The microdermabrasion process was a little uncomfortable at times, but certainly not painful. It's best described as being licked by a kitten-that slight sandpaper feel. The pumpkin masque was soothing, but the smell was a bit too much like pumpkin pie for my tastes.overall, I found the experience very relaxing, and while I don't think it made any life changing differences to my skin, it certainly made it a bit smoother for a few days.

Tips

If you are looking to get this done, make sure you use a qualified aesthetician, preferably one that is part of a physicians group or at least has a doctor that oversees them. Make sure that they use clean and sterilized equipment, especially the applicator tip of the microderm machine. They will most likely clean any makeup off before they start, but you may just want to go there without any on in the first place. If you will be going out after your session, bring your own makeup with you to apply after you are finished. You can help maintain the smooth feeling a bit longer if you use a face scrub with microbeads a few times a week.
