Description of service
This is the monthly fee for a private health club. I also paid a registration fee, but I don't remember how much that was.
This is the only health club I can use, as it is not a chain. It has classes: aerobics, water aerobics, Pilates, yoga, personal training (for an extra feel), an indoor heated pool, a co-ed jacuzzi, a jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room in each locker room. There are also massage therapists who provide work for an extra fee.
Review of Service
Because this is not a chain, there is more attention to detail and more of a personal feeling. The down side, of course, is that I can't use any other health club.
The salesperson was not at all pushy when I signed up. I got $5 off per month because the company that I work for had a corporate membership. You can also get $5 off per month for each friend you refer.
They have a great schedule of classes, although not enough classes on the weekend. I like the variety of aerobics, cycling, tai chi, yoga, swimming, weights, etc. It is usually clean and the staff are friendly. One of the massage therapists is excellent.
Tips
Check for specials - many gyms and health clubs will offer a discount if you know someone who is a member, if you work for certain companies, or if you are willing to pay for a year in advance. Also, check the hours of the health club to make sure they are convenient for you.
