Description of service
I joined a public gym facility that offers the use of cardio equipment (treadmills, stationary bicycles, and ellipticals), free weights, and weight-lifting machines. They also have an staff assistant on-site at all times to assist the users on how to use the equipment and on proper form. They also give advice as to the quality of your workout. The facility also has several flat-screen televisions that you can watch while working out. However, the gym is only open at certain hours and there are no showering facilities.
Review of Service
Even at the price I paid ($28 per quarter), this is a top-notch gym facility. It only lacks the nationally recognized gym facilities in quantity of equipment. The state-of-the-art equipment is kept clean and in good repair. The staff is happy to assist you in any way they are needed. The entire facility is clean.
Tips
For anyone looking to sign up for a gym membership, I would advise that you see what your city has to offer in the way of a public gym. Before signing up, be sure and inspect the facility and examine equipment to see if it is generally in good condition. It's nice that the membership is so cheap, but it would not be worth it if the equipment caused an injury. Ask questions and see if there is anyone available to demonstrate how to properly use the equipment. Again, it is not worth trying to guess and end up injuring yourself.
