Description of service

This is the price my husband and I paid for a walking tour through an old cemetary in New Orleans, Louisiana. The price listed was per person and included all fees associated with the cemetary tour. The tour lasted approximately one and a half hours. There were approximately ten to twelve people on the cemetary tour. We basically walked through the cemetary, while the tour guide told us the history behind certain graves as well as some interesting history about New Orleans. Reservations are usually required for these tours.

Review of Service

This was actually one of the highlights of our trip to New Orleans. The tour guide was entertaining, informative, and funny. The headstones in New Orleans are typically large, ornate, and quite different from a traditional cemetary. Because of flooding, graves must be above ground. This tour was excellent and the amount of time it took for the walk was perfect, not too long and not too short either. We would definitely recommend this tour to friends and family.

Tips

If you are planning a vacation and would like to include a walking tour in your plans, call ahead of time to see if reservations may be required to secure a place on such a tour.
