Description of service
We went on an hour long walking tour of downtown Atlanta. The cost of this tour per person was $35.00.
Review of Service
I had some relatives in from out of town who'd never been to Atlanta. Although I've lived here for years I haven't done most of the tourist type of things so I thought enlisting some professionals was in order.
We ended up choosing to go on a walking tour of downtown Atlanta. The tour guide was very nice and very well informed. We were given very specific instructions as to how long the tour would last and what kind of walking was involved. We were advised to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of bottled water.
We did not take this advice and definitely paid the price. That was not their fault though, obviously. Overall it was as good of a tour as they could give, though we felt the scenery was somewhat dull.
Again, that was not their fault. It turns out downtown Atlanta just isn't that interesting.
Tips
Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Bringing water along is very important, even if the tour doesn't seem like it's that long to you. It's face paced and it definitely pays off to be hydrated.
