Description of service
This spring, I hired a man to completely remove two trees from my yard and to trim all the rest of the trees and bushes in my yard (total of a little over half an acre of land). The man's asking price was ten dollars an hour. All necessary equipment was supplied by him at no additional cost to me. The whole job took him one eight hour work day to complete. The total then was eighty dollars. However, I tipped him twenty dollars for a total price of one hundred dollars.
Review of Service
Overall, I was very pleased with the work the man I hired did. The yard looked very clean and professional when he was finished with it. At first, I thought it would take less time. However, as I watched some of his work, I realized that this was a naive estimate of time due to my own inexperience in this area.
Tips
When I decided to have this work done, I asked around my circle of friends to see if they knew anyone who did this type of work on the side. I find that this is a good way to find someone trustworthy and responsible. I would definitely recommend finding someone who already owns the equipment as some of the equipment can be quite expensive.
