the Cost of Kennels and Boarding

Price of one night in the kennel with a walk. The kennel is AC/heated with concrete slabs. There is a play yard for the dogs to run in during their walk. The staff runs and plays with the dogs, allowing them to get the excercise they would otherwise be missing out on. the price includes food, but you can also bring your own for no charge.

We were very nervous about leaving our dog for the first time. He was 5 years odl the first time we put him in the kennel and he has anxiety problems, so it was very upsetting to have to leave him. The kennel was super nice to us and very understanding. We were impressed with the cleanliness. I worked at a competing kennel when I was young and I remember the smell being nearly unbearable at times. Not at this kennel! It smelled clean and there were no visibly dirty kennels when we visited. He was able to be placed next to our extended family's dogs who were also staying in the kennel so that they could be close. They allowed them to walk between each other's cages as long as a caretaker was present. The play yard was a great addition too since, as a beagle, he needs alot of exercise. He and his friends were able to take recess at the same time so that they could all play and run together. They take pictures of all of the dogs and keep them on the wall so that the staff can get to know the regulars and be prepared for them when they return the next time. The owners live on premesis.

If you are nervous about leaving your pet in a kennel, try to find one where the owner is on premesis. This was very appealing to us since we knew that if there was a problem someone was always close by. Cleanliness is a sign of care. If kennels are dirty, someone isn't doing their job.
