the Cost of One Time Housekeeping Service

We were planning to have a a large party for the in laws 20th wedding anniversary and really needed the extra help getting the house visitor ready.We have a 2 story house and was wanting vacuuming,dusting,windows and pretty much a clean from top to bottom.We were able to locate someone thru the yellow pages who was very reasonably priced.She was working thru a family owned business so the price was lower than a large chain.She cleaned all 3 bedrooms,the kitchen and bathroom.She would not do laundry of any kind.We also gave her a 20 dollar tip for a job well done.We did supply our own cleaning materials.

We were very impressed with the business from the start.they provided background information as well as references.We did check references because to be honest you can never be to safe now a days. They even had a contract drawn up that let us know what would be covered and what was not covered.This protected both parties.She arrived right on time and she took 3 hrs to complete the job.

If at all possible go with a small locally owned business instead of one of the national chains.Make sure they have refrences,make sure you check these out,they can be made up very easily.Also ask for background checks it may seem a bit weird to ask for but if your like me you like to know who is in your home.See if they supply there own cleaning supplies.I myself like to use certain products because of my kids allergies.
