Description of service
We needed a temporary administrative employee in our office over the Christmas holidays. It was a five day, one week assignment. This employee was replacing the Executive Assistant, so we needed someone really good and very professional. The cost is for the entire week. I don't know how much the worker was paid, but our company was charged $20 per hour for the temporary worker.
Review of Service
The agency we used was small and I thought the temporary worker was great. We did not expect anyone to come into our office for one week and take over. All we wanted was someone who had prior Executive Assistant experience, was professional to the office staff and clients, knew how to dress, and could do basic office functions. This girl was great and we loved her. She knew what to do, did not become ruffled, and worked the office effectively. The agency we dealt with was great - we called and gave our job order and immediately they sent over three people that we could interview. I think that Christmas is hard because lots of people are on vacation. Of course, this is also a time when temporary employees can make a good living because they are many vacancies to be filled. We were very pleased with the service that we received and will use this agency again.
Tips
There are tons of agencies that market temporary employees. You can afford to be choosy. The biggest agency is not always the best one. Be sure to have a one on one interview with the candidates for your temporary position - you want to know who and what is coming the door to work for you.
