Description of service
My brother-in-law is the owner of his own business. His human resource employee recently took off for maternity leave and he had to have someone to temporarily fill in and take over her role until she returned. The agency he used charged $95 per day for a person with 2 years of human resource experience (she was semi-retired lady, not wanting a full time job). During casual chatting with me (I drove up there to help make sure she knew how to do payroll correctly) she mentioned that she loved being able to work whenever she wanted for about $80 per day.
Review of Service
The temporary human resource lady was wonderful. She came to be thought of as everyone's "grandmother substitute) as she was always on time, finished her work in record time, always had a kind word for everyone and often brought in home baked goodies for the office. She became such a beloved figure that she was even offered a position afterwards to come in for just once a week to "float" and help wherever she was needed.
Tips
Make sure the temporary agency knows exactly what you're looking for in an employee. When the employee comes in to your company, make sure that they know that, although they get their check from the temporary agency, your company is the one paying them.
