Description of service
The price is hourly wage we pay to the temp agency for the temp's service. We heard, informally, that the temp service's cut of that was $5/hour. In this case it was for two weeks of about 40 hours/week personal assistant work while the regular person was on vacation.
The agency also offer temps for jobs with relatively simple skills requirements. From cleaning staff to data entry and secretarial work. Prices vary based on the type and experience of the temp, and are usually 10-25% more expensive per hour than a regular full-time employee.
Review of Service
I like having someone reliable to keep track of my appointments and to do basic office stuff for me, because it gives me more time to run my business. But sometimes the people I hire need their vacation time -- I don't begrudge it to them, it's a tough job -- but I still need a temp replacement.

It has almost gotten to the point where I'd rather hire a pool of assistants or even outsource the positions just to maintain consistency throughout the year, if I could justify a pool of PAs for a small company or I could find a reliable company for outsourcing. But I only really feel that at the end of the regular person's vacation time, and, I admit, the regular person's first couple days back, because I have to get used to them working with me again.
