I pay $60.00 for birth control pills every six months which is $120.00 a year. I also get an exam every year which was $40.00 last time at a local family planning center.
Review of Service
I have been going to the same place for years and have always gotten really wonderful service. I usually go on my lunch and they are very good about either keeping the appointment within 15 minutes. A few times they've actually called me an hour before the appointment to let me know they are running late and asking if I want to reschedule. The receptionist has always been very professional and cheerful. I have different doctors but they have all struck a good balance between being professional and being warm at the same time. The clinic is very discrete when sending me information about an upcoming appointment or results from different tests I may have had.
Tips
As this is a very intimate thing it is extremely important that you find someone and somewhere you are comfortable with. Be sure to answer all the doctors questions honestly even if it's embarrassing. It's really important to do so in order for the staff to accurately examine you and make sure you're healthy.
