Description of service
I went to a local family planning clinic that worked on a sliding scale. I got a consultation with a doctor, a full exam and a shot of depo. Because my income is low I did not pay for these services.
Review of Service
I have had pleasant experiences here. The staff is very professional. It is always questionable when you are receiving free care if you will be given the same level of service that a person who was paying would get. I have never felt that I was getting inferior service simply because I wasn't paying. I make an appointment but usually have to wait at least a half an hour to get in to see the doctor. Because of this I always make the appointment as late in the day as possible instead of trying to go on my lunch and return to work. The doctors are always overworked but they take the time to listen to any concerns that you may have and to explain any procedures.
Tips
Make sure to make an appointment. Call a bit before the appointment on the day of and find out of if they are running on time or late. This way you can avoid waiting unnecessarily.
