Description of service
My company had a website designed that included 12 pages (home page, content page, about us page, contact us page, etc). This site was a web 2.0 site and included flash animations. The Web Design company met with us and it took 40 hours to complete the site. We provided the text/content and pictures for our website. The Web Design company then created the site.
All work was done at an hourly rate. The cost of purchasing the domain name was $9.95 and web hosting was 90.00 for the year and this was included in the total price.
Review of Service
We were pleased with the website design and overall layout. The Web Design company would update us on the progress of the site and make changes to the design as we requested.
Tips
The more content (text, pictures, color scheme) provided to the Web Designer up front the better the turnaround will be because the Web Designer will have a better idea on how many pages he/she needs to build.
Always make sure you know all the detail of your contract. Some Web Design companies may have a limit on how many pages they will design or how many revisions you will get. Always know what you are getting for your money. Let the Web Design company know what your budget is up front and they will let you know realistically what they can build for you. Keep in mind that you will have other costs involved (purchasing stock photography for the site, purchasing the domain name, site hosting etc).
