the Cost of Web Site Design Services

I have just started an online auction business from home where I am a fairly larger seller of random items. I could just use the online auction site, but you can make your own site which looks more professional and will use this online auction site for selling. I don't know the first thing about web design. I'm sure I could have done it but I had other important things to do so I hired a friend who is a web designer to help out. He spent a total of about 12 hours working on the site and another five hours designing a logo. I figure it's an investment in the future so it would be worth the cost.

The site has a very easy interface to use. You can browse the items and add them into a shopping cart. When you check out you are forwarded to a screen where you sign in and it takes you through all the confusing process of paying and shipping and billing addresses. Then all I have to do is print out an invoice with a pre paid shipping label and ship the package to the address. It saves me time allowing me to focus on running the business more. Well worth the investment. I'm thinking of forgoing the online auction site part and just making my own site so I wouldn't have to pay the online auction site for using their site. Until then I'm perfectly content.

Not everyone needs a website on this online auction site. If you are just a small operation it's probably best to just use their site and you will probably be better off. However medium operation you may want your own site.
