Description of service
When our teenage son began experiencing problems at school and home, we decided that counseling was something that could benefit him. So, we found a psycholgist on a recommendation from our family physician. Our son attended counseling sessions once a week for one hour for approximately six months. This was the price we paid on an hourly basis. The price did not include initial diagnostic tests or test result report, which together ran an additional three hundred dollars.
Review of Service
My husband and I have had custody of his son from a previous marriage for many years. He is an amazing child, but he has had problems coming to terms with the way his biological mother treated him. When we saw that he was suffering from depression, we sought help. This was the best decision we have ever made. He now has the tools he needs to cope with his anger and negative energy. Thankfully, we now have our old son back. Our insurance did not cover the counseling sessions, but we would have paid any price to help our son anyway. When it comes to something like this, it is hard to say what is a reasonable price to pay.
Tips
If you think If your child is suffering from depression or any other issues, ask their pediatrician or family physician for help. Remember, teenagers do not have the same reasoning capabilities as adults; so it is important to act quickly in situations like these.
