Description of service

I recently had to replace the septic tank on a property I rent out. After speaking with several contractors, I selected one that gave, in my mind, the best value for the money. The price included all parts and labor, the excavation and removal of the old septic tank, as well as the installation of the new one.

Review of Service

The company, while prompt when giving us the quote and doing the initial survey work, did not show up until after 11am, when they were supposed to start at eight. The job also took quite a few days longer than they said it would. While this is typical with contractors, it was also annoying, causing me to take time from work that I did not have to take. Despite all of that, they seem to have done a very good job, and everything appears to be working properly. There are no wet spots over it, and after they were done they cleaned everything up and planted sod over where they had worked, and the lawn looked as good as new.

Tips

As always when dealing with contractors, be sure to get their references and license number. Plus do more than that, check on them. Two of the five vendors I got quotes from gave me invalid license numbers, and one of them was the highest quote, so the highest is not always the best.
