Description of service
Septic tank replacement cost me 3500$. The old septic tank wouldn't work because it got chocked or something. So after consulting with local health department I decided to use a contractor to replace the old septic tank. It took the contract seven to eight hours to finish the job which included tasks like sucking out the tank with honey truck then making connections with field and house lines. The contractor explained to me what the problem was and how to avoid such problems in the future.
Review of Service
The job also took quite a few days longer than they said it would. While this is typical with contractors, it was also annoying, causing me to take time from work that I did not have to take. Despite all of that, they seem to have done a very good job, and everything appears to be working properly.
Tips
Definitely shop around for the best price but be smart about it. I had been referred to this company by a relative, so I knew they were a good company; however, if you do not have the benefit of a referral, definitely check with multiple companies and investigate their track record if possible. You are going to have to live with your new septic tank for at least 20 years, so you don't want to risk anything.
