the Price of Driving Lessons

This is the price we paid for my 15 year old son to attend a driver's education course over the summer. The class lasted for six weeks and met once a week for two hours. There were six other students in his class. The teacher is a local high school teacher who teaches driving safety courses in the summer. He was in a class with other students who already had their learning permits, so they were able to actually practice driving with the instructor as well.

This is a course that I think all teenagers should take before getting their driver's license. My son was able to ace the test and probably knows more about the rules of the road than I do! He is ready to begin driving and has learned so much from this course. I feel better about allowing him that freedom now and I am not as worried as I was (but, I am a mom so I'm still a little worried!).

Teenagers who take this course may also be eligible for a discounted insurance rate too. So, check with your insurance company to find out if they offer this benefit to customers. You can find many driving schools and reviews online.
