Description of service
I was out on a bike ride one day when my Suzuki KZ1000LTD just up and died. I was able to have someone come pick me and my bike up. When I went to the shop I ended up going with I paid for parts and labor accordingly. The taxes and fees I incured were on par with the other repairs I've had to do to my bike and/or cars throughout the years. The mechanic ended up putting in new spark plus, installed a new ECM box, and cleaned my carbs. The bike runs like a top now and if I ever need more repairs I'll be revisiting that shop.
Review of Service
The mechanic was quite personable. He was straight forward in letting me know what needed to be done to my bike. He didn't beat around the bush or do the typical mechanic mind tricks. He identified areas for the future that I would want to keep an eye on.
Tips
You'll really want to check around town. There were a few places that offered the service I needed, but some were quite overpriced. Research as much as you can about your bike, common issues, and try to find posts that owners may have posted on some internet forums. I learned quite a lot about my bike before I went into the shop and had a rough idea what I should be expecting ahead of time.
