Description of service
My 19 year old son was having problems with pain in the back of his jaw. One of his wisdom teeth was bothering him. My wife took him to the dentist who determined it was time to have all four wisdom teeth removed. The appointment was set and my son was taken in and the teeth were pulled.
Review of Service
The price that I have listed is based upon my dental insurance policy at work which is an 80/20 split. The process of having his wisdom teeth removed was simply amazing when I compare it to the day when I had mine removed nearly 30 years ago. The dentist did two things that really helped recovery. He gave my son a shot that would keep swelling down, and he also injected some long lasting numbing medication so my son wouldn't feel the pain as quickly. I really believe the two medications helped my son's recovery because by the next day, all he was taking for pain management was Ibuprofen instead of the prescribed Lortab. Also, unlike me, when my wisdom teeth were removed, he did not look like a chipmunk. The total length of recovery for my son was about 1 day.
Tips
Dental work is one of those things where you hope you have the right person doing the job. It's always important to ask lots of people who they go to. This is one of those things where you do not want to just take a guess at who does a good job.
