the Cost of Wedding Cakes

When my sister got married, we searched for different bakeries to find the perfect cake. We went from high end bakeries to grocery store bakeries. After careful examination of all the services and cakes provided we settled on the grocery store bakery. They had the cake my sister wanted at a very reasonable price. We would have never thought to even use a grocery store bakery for something as important as a wedding. We altered the cake to her wedding theme. We even ordered a grooms cake as well. The total cost of both cakes combined was $50. A lot less than we would have paid at a high end bakery. The cakes were delicious.

The ladies the bakery took the time to sit with us to alter the cake to her wedding theme. We picked the colors for the trim. Selected the cake flavor and the icing flavor. The cake was beautiful. We also altered the grooms cake to match the wedding cake along with the wedding theme. The ladies took the time to make sure everything was detailed correctly. We were given a price and told them the time we would pick up the cakes. When we arrived to pick up the cakes the ladies greeted us as we walked over to the counter. They already knew who we were and what we were there for. Once we got the cakes we checked to make sure they were the way we had ordered them. We were instructed to keep the cakes in the refridgerator so the frosting and icing did not melt off the cake. We paid for the cakes and were on our way.

When choosing the wedding cake always remember the most expensive cakes are not always the best. When you are on a budget you don't want to go overboard on the cake. Something people eat. Think of it as taking money out of your wallet and eating it. How much would you want to eat? Probably not that much.
