Description of service
Classes once a week for twelve weeks. The classes lasted approximately an hour each week. It was $90 per person for the entire twelve weeks. We learned the basic steps in several different dances, including the Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba and Night Club Merengue.
Review of Service
I loved taking ballroom dancing classes. The instructors seemed to enjoy it, and since it was broken up into the various skill levels of the people taking the classes, there was no embarassment and everyone was at the same level. You didn't have to have a partner, and there was very individualized help. They taught the basics of several different popular dances, including the Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba, and Night Club Merengue. There are further classes after you graduate from one that you can move up to. You didn't have to dress up for the classes, and they were held on a beautiful hardwood floor. There were also Friday Night Dance Parties held so we could go practice and showcase the skills we had learned! All-in-all it was a very fun, very affordable 12 weeks of class, and I came out knowing the basics of many different types of ballroom dancing.
Tips
Be sure to check around for the most affordable prices. Community classes are probably cheaper than privately owned dance companies. Try to get reviews from others who have taken the classes, and see if the place offering classes will allow you to go for a free night or two to see if it will work for you.
