the Price of Ballroom Dance Lessons

My son took a 6 week ballroom dancing class. The classes were for an hour once a week. The total cost was $120.00.

My 12 year old son is very shy and we are always looking for ways to get him to come out of his shell a little bit. We saw a news story on children learning ballroom dancing and how it improved their self-esteem and social skills. We searched around and found a local company that taught specifically to kids. We did a little bit of research on the internet and came across mixed reviews. We decided that the price was low enough and there were enough positive reviews to conteract the negative reviews. It was a mixed experience for us. Our son did learn some good dancing skills and he did come out of his shell a little bit. However, he didn't really enjoy himself that much. The instructors didn't really seem like people who should be exclusively working with children as they didn't appear to really like children or know how to talk to them. They were not very patient.

Definitely introduce your child to the instructor before signing up for something like this. Take not of how the instructor interacts with your child.
