Description of service
My spouse and I decided to take dance lessons for fun and something new, and we signed up for a six course program that taught us three different types of dances: the waltz, samba and tango. The classes were held once per week and each class lasted for two hours. Two classes were dedicated to each type of dance, with the first class having an introduction and step by step explanation of the moves, along with some practice, and then the second class was a full night of dancing that type of dance. The total cost was $300 per person, which was $50 per two-hour session.
Review of Service
We really enjoyed the course and had a great time meeting other people and learning a new activity that we have been able to use since that time. There were three different instructors for the three types of dances, and two of them were great and patient with the group, and seemed to be having fun with the time. The third instructor was a little more serious and taught us what we needed to know, but he did not seem as interested in the people attending the class. The classes were well-paced and we did not feel rushed to learn everything on the first try. The cost was certainly reasonable for the services and we felt that it was a good investment in having fun.
Tips
Instead of spending a lot of time trying to learn one type of dance, I would suggest a class like we took to sample a few different styles to see what you really like and are able to do. Sometimes a dance looks fun and easy on tv but it is much harder or less interesting in person, so a sampler program might be better for a beginning couple.
