the Price of Dry Cleaning Coats and Jackets

I had my winter coat dry-cleaned after it was sitting in a musty storage area all summer. It cost $50.00.

My winter coat ended up smelling musty and mildwey after sitting in a storage facility that was not climate controlled. I took it to my local dry cleaners to have it cleaned. It took 2 days to be cleaned as they had to send it off site since they typically only deal with basic things like shirts and pants. They also repaired a loose button which I did not even notice was loose. They did not charge me for fixing the button. They called me when they got the coat back and it was ready. It was ready exactly when they said it would be and I had no trouble when I went to pick it up.

Make sure if you have an expensive or unusual fabric that you either take it somewhere where they are experienced with that type of fabric or somewhere where they will send it off to another facility. Ask them to call you when the article of clothing is done being cleaned and is ready to be picked up. This prevents an unneeded trip to pick it up before it's ready.
