Description of service
In January, I had my wool long camel coat dry cleaned at a local dry cleaning service. I took the coat in on a Monday and I was to be able to pick it up on the Friday of the same week. The total cost told to me would be $35.00. This was not true, they charged me $45.00. When I took the coat in for dry cleaning, I specifically went over the item for any stains or tears. There were none.
Review of Service
I returned on Friday to pick up my coat. It was not there. They had sent it out but it had not returned. When I asked why they had not called me to let me know it wouldn't be ready, they had no comment. I asked when it would be ready and they promised me by the following Tuesday. When I picked it up on Tuesday, they charged me the additional $10.00. They said it was too special treat a stain. When I reminded them that we had gone over the coat and there were no stains, the only explanation was the main factory found the stain. Even though I argued this, I lost and paid.
Tips
Make sure the dry cleaning service is reputable, check with the better business bureau for any complaints. Go over your item and have the ticket read any problems that will need fixing. Let them know that you need to have the exact time the item will be ready or they will need to contact you.
