Description of service
I was caught out in the rain in my leather jacket and I thought it was ruined. The rain spots left ugly "stains" where the leather had discolored. I took it to my regular dry cleaner and they were sure they could get it out.
Review of Service
They did get the "stains" out and the coat looked brand new. The only bad thing was that it took two weeks because they had to send it to an outside service, one that handles special cases.
Also, although they got it clean, which means that it was again all the same color, there was a smell that remained that I could never get rid of. I love the smell of leather and actually that's one of the reasons I bought the jacket. I don't have much use for it in Florida, but once in a while it gets cold enough to wear it. It continued to have a kind of musty smell; the dry cleaner couldn't do anything about that - they suggested I buy a leather spray that makes anything smell like leather. I felt like I was cheating !!
Tips
Don't get your leather jacket wet !! If you do, take it to the cleaners immediately. Don't let the discoloration and the smell sink in.
