Description of service
This is the price I paid for the dry-cleaning of my mid-length winter wool coat. I didn’t see any taxes or fees in the receipt.
Review of Service
The dry-cleaners are conveniently located in the same building complex as my apartment so it was a no-brainer for me to bring them my dry cleaning. I dropped it off on a Saturday and I was told that it would be ready on Tuesday afternoon, which I think is prompt service. A rush service is available, but for an additional fee. The couple who owned the shop were very courteous and efficient. I was in and out in 2 minutes flat. The shop looked organized and well-kept and seems well-maintained and clean. My coat came back clean and spotless, without too much of that chemical smell that sometimes accompanies treated clothes. I would have preferred to spend less on dry-cleaning and may have been able to find cheaper somewhere like in Queens or the Bronx, but that would have involved additional transportation costs. All-in-all, given the service and quality of the work, the price was worth it.
Tips
Compare prices. Dry cleaners usually abound in residential and business areas. Every now and then, I check out the price of service at the shop near my office. Sometimes also, there are promotions or packages that give discounts for several pieces of clothing.
