Description of service
The nail technician preps the natural nail bed for application by filing, buffing and smoothing the nail bed before applying any tips. Once preparation has taken place, the nail tech applies a nail tip then applies a thin layer of acrylic. Once the acrylic has hardened, a thicker amount of gel is applied to the nails. Once the gel has hardened, you have to put your hands into a dryer with UV lights. The UV lights help to harden the gel alot smoother than if they were to air dry. Depending on the length, gel nails can range from thirty dollars up to sixty dollars for a full set.
Review of Service
I love gel nails. They promote growth, they last longer, and they are better for your nail bed. They may be more expensive than a regular full set of acrylic nails, but they are worth the money. Instead of having to get a fill in every two weeks with acrylic nails, you can go every three weeks with gel nails. The quality of the nails were definitely worth the money spent. There was only one con about the product and that is that it takes a little longer for the nails to be completed.
Tips
My advice is that you do try it. I believe it is worth the money especially because you don't have to get your nails done every two weeks. Instead you can get them done every three weeks. Just make sure you set aside an extra 30 minutes to dedicate to getting them done. I wish someone would've told me about how much longer it took to get them done in comparison to the regular acrylic nails. I would recommend this product to anyone.
