the Cost of Gel Nails

The cost of $50 was for a full set of gel (sculpted) nails. It was for my wedding. The $50 did not include a tip, as I had tipped her previously.

When I arrived at the salon, even though I had made an appointment, they were not expecting me, and the only person who could do sculpted nails was forced to skip her lunch due to the scheduling error. She was also forced to do them in a short time period because of the scheduling error. She sat me down and roughly clipped my nails short. She decided to make my nails look less wide with the tips. I went along with it, and I wish I hadn't. The primer burned my nails when she put it on, and instead of trying to fix it, she just went ahead. The nails got done in time, but were very irregular and thick. They started to pry off within two weeks. I had to take them all off, and my nails are terrible underneath. I wouldn't go back. It was overpriced and poor quality.

For something as important as your wedding, double and triple check your appointments. If you have a nail technician that you trust, stay with them. Don't let them tell you what's good for you, ask them to do what you want.
