the Cost of Gel Nails

I had my nails done for the first time back in December. I had the acrylic nails but then my friend was telling me about the gel nails and how they would stay on their longer in our working conditions. We work with ceramic tile at a construction site. So when I had a little me time this past weekend I went and got it done.

It's not a whole lot different from acrylic nails, I think that they may just use different chemicals to do the gel nails. The finished look isn't identical to acyrilic nails but it was pretty close. I've only had these on for a week so it's hard to tell right now whether or not they are going to last longer but for some reason I just like these better even if it is a few more dollars. Also I think it may have taken longer to do these so maybe that is why they charged more.

I don't know if all nail salons do gel nails so you may have to call around and ask. And I would definitely make an appointment, you don't want to wait in line for ever. It's kind of hard to relax in a nail salon because of the smells.
