Description of service
They use a tool that sounds similar to a dentist's drill except theirs' is a file. This file gets your nails paper thin so that they can place your artificial nails on top of it without them sticking up really high. After gluing your nails on they do more filing and then get out a jar of powder and a jar of some liquid. When the two are combined on their little makeup brush they create the gel that's used on your nail. They place your hand in a little machine that has UV lights in it to make the gel harden quicker, I think it's baking it almost, and this is done aftere each layer of gel used. After they do the first coat of gel, more filing, gel, filing, and finally the last layer of gel. You pick a color from one of the many racks of polish on the wall, or you can go natural, and wait 20 minutes for that to dry. Pay and you're on your way, rarely have I been charged any tax on these services, although tipping is common.
Review of Service
It was difficult for me to communicate what specifics I wanted for my nails because my technician was too busy talking to his coworkers rather than stopping to hear me.
Tips
If you're looking for a place in your area to get your nails done make sure you go somewhere where they will actually listen to what you want, rather than do what they think looks good on you. Also ensure that their tools are properly sanitized, because if not you could end up with a nasty nail infection.
