the Cost of Chamber of Commerce Membership

The service is a 1-year membership to our local Chamber of Commerce. The $395 represents annual dues. The service includes:

Social Networking & Business Referrals

Exclusive Leads Groups

Marketing and Advertising Opportunities

Sales and Marketing Education

Executive Leadership Development

Political Representation at the City, State and National Levels

Young Professionals training program; and,

A plethora of other networking advantages and opportunities.

Our group is a non-profit student-based group and we joined the Chamber membership to help expand our membership.

Our group is a non-profit group, so raising funds is always a struggle. Thus, it was a tough job to convince our membership that the Chamber dues were worth the return. However, I am fairly confident that most all of the members have been satisfied on our return on the investment. Our biggest struggle (even bigger than the difficulty of raising funds) is increasing membership. We feel that we put together excellent programming and events. The biggest struggle is to put people in the seats and give our even speakers an audience. It is with this (increasing membership) that the Chamber has helped us by leaps and bounds.

My tip would be to join a Chamber group if you can afford to do it. The return on the investment is well worth it!
