the Cost of Chamber of Commerce Membership

I paid for a membership in the chamber of commerce. This included a membership directory, a package of information about the chamber, invitations to chamber sponsored "mixers",(6 a year) tickets to two annual events a Christmas mixer and a chamber of commerce business show. I will also get a reduced rental rate for a booth at this show if I want to be involved in that way.

The chamber business show is one of the largest in this area, I think it will be a good resource. The directory has given me a way to network even before I can start going to mixers. I think this chamber is quite active, and I hope attendance at the mixers is high. I found the staff very helpful, they answered questions and referred me to other business resources in town. I am happy with the materials I received so far.

I would ask around and see how enthusiastic your business community is about the local chamber, in fact, it's a good way to start networking and make business contacts.If you can, be a guest at one of the events to see how many people attend and what the general feeling is. Call the chamber and ask for help before you become a member, this is what I did and found them to be so helpful, I had to join!
