the Cost of Municipal Water Service

This service is the cost of how much water I use at my house. There is a basic monthly fee which for the water to be available and then a couple of dollars in taxes, but after that point the monthly fee is based directly on how much water I use. The price can obviously fluctuate between the seasons depending on how much water you are using in your yard (sprinklers) or if you have a swamp cooler.

The service has been solid - I've always had water with good water pressure. The water provider hasn't ever sent me a bill that seems to be wrong. The price monthly seems reasonable to me versus how much water I use. Personally, I also like the taste of my water fine which saves money since I don't feel like I need to buy bottled water.

Where I live I cannot get irrigation secondary water, so I have to pay for the clean drinking water when I water my lawn, which is much more expensive than areas with secondary water systems for irrigation. I would highly suggest, when buying a house with a yard to maintain, that you check into the availability of a secondary water system in the area. It will save you tons on your water bill during the summer months.
