the Cost of Municipal Water Service

I use city water and my monthly bill is between $30-$40 a month. I know a lot of places have higher rates but I live in a very small town and we rarely have to use water for anything other than household uses. It rains a lot so we never have to water the grass or wash the cars.

Our water company has customer appreciation days once every few months with a cook-out and free food/drinks. They even give away stuff as well. We have grace periods on the bill due dates, with a 10 day grace period before they charge you a late fee. They understand times are tough for family right now, especially with rising gas prices! They are very understanding and compassionate. They have several programs available for families with economical hardships to help lower the cost of the bill and to help out with other bills as well. It is very nice to have a company truly care about your well being!

If you have an option of water service, use your options wisely. If you don't have any other option to get water service, always remember to be polite and courteous to your water company. You are stuck with them and if you treat them badly they will not be so kind to you!
