the Cost of Municipal Water Service

Water service for my home in Boiling Springs, SC. No sewer bill since we have a septic tank. We get a bill every other month. The last was for 98 units. Each unit of usage is equal to 100 cubic feet or 748 gallons. A late payment charge of 1.50 plus 1.5% will be added to any balance remaining after the due date.

They are great about having no issue with the water here for us. I thought that they would charge more than they do. The website they have is very helpful and if you can get logged in there your good to go. You can pay your bill there now even. When the bill comes it says when it is due which is usually about 2 weeks later.

If you pay over the phone be sure to write down your confirmation number and keep it where you can find it if you need it. They do a lot manually over there yet and I actually got my water shut off one time since I didn't follow up on a notice for disconnect because I had already paid like a day or 2 before it. They didn't credit my account right so I ended up getting my water shut off. When this happens they have no problem turning it back on but I don't think they were very sorry for their mistake and if a day without water isn't a problem for you then not a problem for them. YIKES.
