the Cost of Municipal Water Service

I get water service from the city and the cost of this service usually runs about $42 a month. I have five people living in an average size single family home. The monthly cost can vary, but is usually around $42. I think the lowest I have paid is around $30, and the most I have paid is around $50 so the price can actually change depending on how much water and sewage we use.

The service works fine. I have never had any problem from my water supplier. I have compared my municipal water bill with those in my family, and the bill is about the same as theirs, so I really feel the price is right. Even though I have never had problems, I know some of my neighbors have had issues with line breaks and the such, which are usually taken care of pretty quickly.

If you live in the city, you really don't have a choice who provides your water unless you want to build your own purification system, but then if you do that you better hope it rains. The best thing you can do is just manage your consumption. One good tip is to keep a bucket near a drain to catch water, you can at least use that water to feed your plants or wash your car.
