Description of service
The price given is a quarterly price that we pay for municipal water service from the regional water district's services, and included three months (January - March) of daily showers for my significant other and I, washing clothes two to three times a week, and other general consumption of water. The price did not include any use of water for external use, as we use a rainwater catch basin to irrigate our lawn and garden.
Review of Service
The water service from the regional water district has been positive, leaving us with almost uninterrupted service for the duration of using their service. Many people in our neighborhood use private carriers for drinking water or gardening service, but the difference in those services to the regional water provider is negligible. Service is always on, and only once has water service been affected in the last few years due to a main break or other incident requiring a boil alert.
Tips
Many people are required to use their regional residential water provider, but if you're able to choose, look for the group that will provide the best service and rates. It is usually unnecessary to utilize any sort of independent water supplier for such things as watering your lawn or having drinking water, as the municipal water is just as clean in most places as the water provided by drinking water services. But, again, it's best to get the most for your money in this case, ensuring that you have good, uninterrupted service along with your savings.
