Description of service
We had a local electrician come to our home to do some minor repairs. At the advisement of a home inspector, we had the electrician add a junction box in two places in our basement so that the wiring is safe. The work seemed fairly simple.
Review of Service
The company sent someone out the same week that we made the service call. The guy showed up on time and was nice enough. He seemed to have done good work. He installed the junction boxes where we asked and also looked around quickly to make sure that everything else was in order, which it was. I think the price was reasonable. It was not a big job at all. Lastly, there wasn't much mess to clean up. But, the electrician left everything clean, which is always a big plus in my book.
Tips
Not all electricians will be willing to take on a small job such as this one. However, with a bit of calling around, you shouldn't have too much of a problem finding someone to do the work. I think we were lucky to get someone so quickly. Usually with a small job like this you will get squeezed in between bigger jobs.
