the Price of Renting a Pickup Truck

We went to Missoula for a weeklong outdoor adventure and rented a large pickup truck from one of the major rental companies. We booked the rental several months in advance because pickup trucks are in high demand, even at the end of the tourist season. We rented the truck for the full week and the price of $680 does not include any extra insurance or fuel surcharges, which we declined at the time of the rental. We had a mileage limit of 875 for the week, which we approached but did not break, so there were no additional mileage charges.

Even though we booked far in advance, we still expected to have problems getting the vehicle because they are so popular. Fortunately, the truck was waiting for us when we arrived and the entire rental process was very easy. We signed a few forms, they gave us the key, and we were on the road to our adventure. The truck was a 2007 model and ran very well for us. We did not have any mechanical problems or any other difficulties. When we returned the truck there was a quick inspection for damage and to check the mileage, and then we paid with a credit card and left.

Definitely book well in advance if you want any type of specialty vehicle like a pickup, SUV or something else.
